Passed by this place recently...There are few stores open but the former anchor store, Albertsons sits vacant. I would like to see this property redeveloped into mostly residential above retail.

Western portion of the property has high concrete walls which they should be an underground parking garage for residents while 4 to 6 story residential building sits above it.

What do you think this property should be redeveloped into? I'd like to hear from you...please post your comments below.

Lakeside Center

I sometimes wonder what Lakeside Center should look like. My suggestion if they ever redevelop the site...I would keep Lakeside Amusement Park with lots of improvements. I'd like to see them redevelop old shopping mall into mixed-use buildings along 44th Avenue while the site of old racetrack on eastern side (northwest of Sheridan & 44th) should be built as a event center (like Broomfield Event Center). I'd like to see open space park around Lake Rhonda.

What do you think northwest corner of Lakeside should be built? (site of high rise Chase Bank building)

Bell Tower Plaza (formerly JCRS Shopping Center)

Have you ever been to Bell Tower Plaza on W. Colfax Ave, between Kendall and Pierce streets in Lakewood? Albertson has closed. This shopping center makes a good redevelopment case don't you think?

I do! why? because it's 2 blocks away from proposed Lamar station on the west corridor light rail line that's due to open in 2012.

What do you think they should redevelop into?

I would create a town-center feel with shops and condos/apartments above them. Perhaps library too? Don't forget that surrounding areas of Bell Tower Shopping Center needs to be redeveloped especially closest to the Lamar light rail station.
